Award amounts are determined annually based on available funding and the number of eligible applicants. Awards will not exceed $500. The specific amount will be stated in the scholarship announcement each cycle.

A limited number of scholarships are available each year. Awards are granted up to twice per year.

Applications are reviewed after the application period closes and judged on two criteria: the relevance of the requested opportunity to the association profession, and the applicant's level of involvement with AWTC and other professional or community organizations.

Complete the online application form. You will be asked to describe your AWTC involvement, explain how the award will advance your career, and provide details about the specific opportunity you're pursuing, including date, location, format, and cost. Supporting documentation, such as receipts or registration confirmations, may be requested separately.

AWTC notifies recipients by email or phone and awards scholarships within 90 days of the application close date.

You'll receive an award letter by email. Funds are disbursed directly to you. Recipients are responsible for completing a post-award survey about their experience. Please note that recipients are responsible for any applicable tax obligations associated with the award.
