From Idea to Outcome: Making AI Actually Work

This is the second session in the series AI in Motion: You’ve heard the potential. Maybe you’ve even tried a few tools. But somewhere between “this is interesting” and “this is delivering real results,” something stalls. For most organizations, the challenge isn’t access to AI, it’s knowing which problem to solve first, how to frame a project that stakeholders will fund, and how to turn a promising pilot into something that actually runs. This session is built for exactly that moment.

In this hands-on session, participants will work through a live Outcome-First Project Mapping exercise and applying a practical framework to a real challenge in their own organization, not a hypothetical scenario. You’ll learn why many AI projects fail (and it has nothing to do with the technology), how to build a business case that connects AI investment to outcomes your board already cares about, and what no-code and low-code tools make this accessible for organizations without dedicated data staff. A mini case study from a national association shows what this looks like when it works from first question to production model.
