Association Women Technology Champions Welcomes Esteemed Board Members

Washington, D.C. — Association Women Technology Champions (AWTC) is thrilled to announce the appointment of two distinguished professionals, Chantal Almonord, CAE, and Leakhena Swett, to its Board of Directors. These accomplished leaders bring a wealth of experience, expertise, and passion for advancing women in technology within the association sector. Founding AWTC members Katherine Bayless, CAE, and Tori Miller Liu, MBA, FASAE, CAE, CIP have ended their board terms.

Almonord currently serves as the Chief Information & Engagement Officer at the Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR). In her role, she oversees digital product strategy, IT services, and data strategy, aligning them with ISPOR’s mission. Chantal also leads member services and global engagement activities, showcasing her commitment to fostering collaboration and innovation within the association space. Her involvement in ASAE’s Empowered Women subcommittee and Technology Professionals Advisory Committee underscores her dedication to promoting diversity and inclusion within the industry. Almonord received the prestigious AWTC Technology Champion Award in 2022.

Leakhena Swett brings more than 20 years of experience in associations and currently holds the position of Interim President at the International Liquid Terminals Association (ILTA). With a proven track record working with associations such as the American Chiropractic Association and the Association of American Pharmaceutical Scientists, as well as with technology companies in the association space, Swett is a seasoned professional who understands the transformative power of membership-driven missions. Her dedication extends beyond professional realms, as evidenced by her service on the Executive Board of the Family Readiness Group at SHAPE NATO in Belgium, where she earned the Department of the Army’s Appreciation For Patriotic Civilian Service in 2012. Swett’s commitment to associations and her leadership acumen make her a valuable addition to the AWTC board.
